Disability Drawing Club's April meeting welcomes Cedric Tai!

DDC holds space for people with disabilities, chronic illness, and mental illness. In this casual meetup, we bond, vent, and commiserate about our shared experiences. Simultaneously, it allows us to be unapologetic about our bodies, and broadens representation of disabled people in drawing.

This safe space welcomes people who identify as disabled, chronically ill, mentally ill, and their caretakers. The club is centered around drawing prompts that open up discussions about our health and wellness.

No drawing experience necessary!

April Guest: Cedric Tai

Cedric Tai is an un-disciplinary artist and educator who thinks through sculpture, talking, writing, performance and experimental exhibitions.

Image Description: Four brown, leather-bound encyclopedias at a quarter-view perspective take center stage on the flyer. The front cover is shows large gold text that reads “Disability Drawing Club with Cedric Tai.”Below the book, on a slant, white text says “April 19, 11:30 AM at Ground Floor Echo Park.” Along the bottom, smaller yellow text notes: “Masks Encouraged • Zoom Simulcast • No Drawing Experience Necessary.” The background features more encyclopedias, tinted purple, to create a vintage tone.
